As time progresses with your children and when they marry and have children personalities double and triple as children have children. A functional family has a father figure, a mother figure and children with aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. They all have a role in your particular family life and events.

Your family personality types are the traits and characteristics of the personality of the father and mother. There are different In-Law types:

  • The Advisor, this family personality type will provide an extremely high level of assistance and advice to all.   • The Superstar, here the family is centered on the charisma and high energy of the Superstar. This personality often will cause parents and those in charge to build the family around their own personality. They can be too competitive and workaholics.
  • The Artist, this family personality is the reserved but highly creative type. Often found in family organizations demanding creativity. As an artist type they will help you build your family around the unique talents and creativities you have. They may be overly sensitive to your in-laws responses even if the feedback is positive.
  • The Visionary, a family order built by a Visionary will often be based on the future vision and thoughts. They will have a high degree of curiosity to understand the world around you and will help set-up plans to avoid the landmines. Visionaries can be too focused on the dream with little focus on reality. Action must precede vision.
  • The Analyst, if you run a family as an Analyst, your family focus is on fixing problems in a systematic way. The Analyst often makes every effort to be involved in science, engineering or computer etiology, while problem solving. Be aware of analysis paralysis, and the lack of ability of trusting others.
  • The Fireball, a family run and operated by a Fireball is full of life, energy and optimism. Your family is energizing and makes all the in-laws feel the family has a get it done attitude in a fun playful manner. They may over commit your family and act to impulsively, but balance your impulsiveness with autonomous planning.
  • The Hero, they have an incredible will and ability to lead the world and your family through any challenge. They are the essence of private enterprise and can assemble a great organizational family order. Over promising and using forceful tactics to get their way will not work long term. To be successful, the Hero must trust their leadership skills to help others find their way.
  • The Healer, they provide nurturing and harmony to your family. They have an uncanny ability to survive and persist with an inner calm. Because of their caring, healing attitude toward your family, they may avoid outside realities and use wishful thinking. They need to use scenario planning to prepare for turmoil.
